GOA’s Larry Pratt hits another one out of the park on Sandy Hook

I’m a life member of Gun Owners of America, and for good reason. They don’t compromise with the enemies of liberty. While the National Rifle Association sits idly by and allows the anti-liberty crowd to dominate the airwaves, Larry Pratt and others have been out defending our liberty, cutting through the emotion, and putting the debate into factual perspective. I’m an NRA member pretty much out of habit, but I’ll never become a life member until they quit compromising and hiding when the going gets tough.

Larry Pratt wrote an excellent opposing opinion to an insipid USA Today piece. Larry factually demonstrated the failure of gun-free zones to protect anyone. Quite the opposite – gun-free zones only enable predatory psychopaths to murder without any chance of opposition. Larry’s money quote:

One measure of insanity is repeating the same failure time after time, hoping that the next time the failure will turn out to be a success. Gun-free zones are a lethal insanity.

Liberals again sacrificed 20 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School to their delusion. That’s beyond insanity.

To be clear, the evil psychopath that pulled the trigger bears full responsibility for his murders. However, liberal gun-haters that created and defend so-called gun-free zones also bear responsibility for enabling the crime to proceed unopposed. The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Legally armed civilians on the scene ARE the first responders to an active killer. That’s reality.
