Moneydance bank synchronizing with Java 7

Moneydance stopped syncing with my bank at the end of March. I tried a number of things, but nothing worked. I called my bank but they said that nothing changed there. Hmmm.

I then went on Moneydance’s support site and found this. Apparently, Oracle changed the way Java handles security certificates. It requires more secure algorithms now. Great.

So, I reinstalled IcedTea Java 6, which earlier had caused problems in Moneydance last year. Moneydance syncs fine now. Hopefully the problems in IcedTea Java 6 have been fixed since last year.

Thanks a lot, Oracle.
