More on DHS targeting veterans as potential terrorists

Since I wrote my post Homeland Security pegs returning veterans as threats, others have done some great research. Many go into more detail about the targeting of political conservatives, including those of us who take their civil rights under the 2nd Amendment seriously, those of us who take our civil rights under the 9th and 10th Amendments seriously (like the governor of Texas), and those of us who take our Declaration of Independence seriously when it says:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. [my emphasis]

Those beliefs apparently make us ripe for nutcase militia terrorism. Under that definition, George Washington, Ben Franklin, James Madison, Sam Adams, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and their closes buddies would all be targeted by DHS. Apparently Stalin would fare just fine here. Makes me feel safer.

I concentrated on the returning veteran aspect, but the folks at This Ain’t Hell, but you can see it from here (great name) latched onto this paragraph:

A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that “large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the armed forces.”

Funny, in 30 years I never met even one. Hmmm. According to that blog, it turns out that the morons at Homeland Security are referring to a left-wing group called the Southern Poverty Law Center. These SLPC bozos actually declared the American Legion a hate group because the Legion thinks that we should enforce our own immigration laws. Now DHS calls this group of left-wing bozos “a prominent civil rights organization” and takes their lies about our military heros seriously. Where do we get these people?

The American Legion responded to the report in a measured manner (HT: Michelle Malkin). I would not, and have not, been so kind to the DHS morons who labeled my fellow veterans as terrorist threats.

According to The Washington Times (HT: Drudge Report), DHS is defending their report. They repeatedly refer to Timothy McVeigh as the benchmark. I have news for the morons at DHS – a single point does not a four-dimensional time-space continuum define. Do the math. McVeigh disgraced the uniform and is getting what he deserves in hell. How about we take a look at the New Black Panthers who intimidate voters. Remember these guys?

I say again, DHS should be looking for real terrorists rather than painting Obama’s political opponents as potential terrorists. Stalin couldn’t have done a better job of that. DHS should start by targeting ACORN who routinely stuffs ballots boxes with dead and cartoon character voters around the country in massive voter fraud. They are shameless  groups that undermine the voting system that’s so key to our liberty.

DHS should closely monitoring every radical mosque, especially those funded by the Saudis (where 8-year-old girls are sold into marriage to pay for family debts) and other Middle Eastern money. That’s where all the terrorists who crash airliners into buildings, blow up subways and trains, become homicide bombers and jihadists, behead journalists and Christian girls, and burn school girls with acid are grown. Note two things in that list: 1) there was not one Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, etc. in that list. All were radical Islamists. 2) They were not U.S. military veterans that fight, bleed, and die to defend this country’s liberty.

Secretary Napolitano should just resign and save us from any more of this idiocy. In the meantime, the 2nd Amendment is apparently the only homeland defense plan that we should take seriously. Our founding fathers  had it right:
