It looks like the old Star Trek will get a bit of a makeover. Here are two trailers. The first is more of a teaser than a trailer:

The movie is set as a prelude to the 1960’s TV series.

In my humble opinion, the last good Star Trek series was The Next Generation series and cast. The franchise went down hill on a steep slope after that. All but the first movie were pretty good, though. If this one returns to the mold of the original, just with a different cast, then cool. We’ll find out in May, 2009, if the schedule holds.
